Craig Melvin has shared the screen with his wife many times over the years. In fact, they first met early in their careers at the NBC affiliate station WRC-TV in Washington, D.C. They tied the knot in 2011, three years after meeting. The couple didn’t waste time starting a family.
They welcomed their son, Delano, in 2014. Their daughter, Sybil, joined the family in 2016. Craig Melvin enjoyed a much-needed break with his family when they took a vacation to Hilton Head Island in South Carolina in July. The vacation came days after he was confronted by an intruder on the Today Show.
Now, Craig Melvin announced exciting “breaking” news about his family. He took to social media to share huge news about his wife’s career. “Some breaking family news: CBS Sports Adds Lindsay Czarniak as a Host for @CBSSportsHQ,” he wrote. She made her debut on Sunday, August 9.
“Happy. Proud,” Craig Melvin gushed over his wife’s new job.

Lindsay Czarniak‘s Long Career In Sports Broadcasting
Sports reporting runs in Lindsay Czarniak’s family. Her father was a sports journalist and editor for USA Today. She graduated with a degree in journalism in 2000. She joined WRC-TV (NBC4) in Washington, D.C. as a sports reporter in 2005.
In 2011, she became an anchor on ESPN, a position she held until 2017. Lindsay Czarniak also worked at Fox Sports as a sideline reporter for the NFL games. Craig Melvin interviewed his wife earlier this month about her exciting new role as host of the Investigation Discovery series Game Day Murders.
The true-crime docuseries explores high-profile murder cases and scandals in the professional and college sports world. Former NBA player Shaquille O’Neal served as the show’s executive producer. New episodes are Mondays at 10 P.M. on Investigation Discovery and stream the next day on HBO Max.
