Tom Brady wrapped up his FIFA World Cup 2026 experience on Sunday with a big shoutout to the friends, family, and global athletes who made the month one for the books.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion spent the full tournament on the broadcasting side. Not as a competitor this time – as a media personality covering the biggest soccer event on the planet. And from everything he wrote, he wouldn’t trade a single day of it.

“What a finale to one of the greatest month long sporting events we’ve ever seen,” Brady posted on Instagram. “So happy to share it with my favorite crew.”

He went on to thank everyone who made it special – close friends, family, and the players from around the world who stepped into the arena and competed. “These are the memories we’ll be talking about for the rest of our lives,” Brady wrote. That’s a massive statement from a guy with seven Super Bowl rings.

But think about who’s saying it. Brady has been in more historic games than basically anyone alive. He knows big moments. He’s seen sports deliver on the highest stage possible. So him saying the World Cup reminded him why people fall in love with competing in the first place? That’s not nothing.

“Sports have given me everything,” Brady said in the caption. “But watching this one from the other side reminded me why any of us fall in love with sports in the first place.”

The 2026 World Cup was a huge deal for the country. It was the first time the U.S. hosted the tournament since 1994. Stadiums across the country became soccer arenas for a full month. Hosting on this scale was a big moment for American sports on the global stage. The finale on July 20 brought it all home.

Brady was there for every bit of it. And he’s already got his eyes on the next one.

“Thank you for the memories @fifaworldcup, see you in 4 years!” he wrote.

The 2030 World Cup is set for a multi-country format spanning Spain, Portugal, Morocco, and parts of South America. Brady will be 52 by the time it kicks off. Sounds like he’s already planning the trip.

This fits right into Brady’s post-NFL second act. He retired for good in 2023 after 23 seasons and seven championships. Every major passing record in the league belongs to him. He’s since jumped into broadcasting and sports media in a big way. The World Cup run was clearly a key piece of that.

But the way Brady talked about this month sounds more personal than professional. He sounds like a genuine fan who knew he was watching something special and soaked in every second.

Football fans and soccer supporters filled the comments with love, with plenty of people calling it cool to see Brady locked in on the beautiful game at this level.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is officially done. Brady’s already counting down to 2030. Sports have a way of doing that to you.
