During Season 7 of Unexpected, Isabella Leal- Stone shared that her boyfriend, Bryce Palmer, had hit her. Yes, THE Bryce Palmer had allegedly laid hands on a woman, and that led her mother, Tasha, to confront his mother, Connie, and Nan, Sue. Of course, they did not believe he was capable of such an act, and it was swept under the rug. In the ten-month finale update episode, Isabella and Bryce were engaged, so how did she end up forgiving him? Keep reading for what the nineteen-year-old revealed.
A Rough Road, Families Go To War
Bryce Palmer and Isabella Leal- Stone had one common bond: they didn’t have a dad. Therefore, that was what brought them closer together, and they chose to keep making it work after Isabella found out she was pregnant. Yet, as Unexpected fans saw, his grandparents, whom he lived with, were enablers and put him on a pedestal. They did not think he needed to work a menial job and felt he was the grand prize. As for Isabella, she just wanted him to work somewhere so he could take care of her and the baby. When push came to shove, Bryce’s Paw Paw and Nan were horrible to her and treated Isabella like dirt.
Isabella’s mother, Tasha, went to have a sit-down with his Nan and mother, but she learned some sickening news. Isabella claimed Bryce had hit her, but his family vehemently denied this. She did not stay with him, did not have him when she delivered their daughter, and waited a month for Bryce to be welcomed around Haisley. Now, they are engaged, and everything is just fine, so how did Isabella get over the hitting incident? A fan asked the Unexpected star just that, and she responded:
“Because I wanna be, because I wanna be with him, that’s why. ‘Cause I have a kid with him and I love him. Like, do I need to give you another reason?”
Isabella appeared very defensive about why she was still with Bryce. Many fans who had joined in on her Live stated that Bryce did not love her and was cheating, but she snapped back.

Lessons To Be Learned
After Unexpected fans heard Isabella Leal- Stone’s reasoning for staying with Bryce Palmer, they did not buy it. Moreover, they felt that she still had a lot of hard lessons to learn, and the Texas teen was in for a rude awakening:
- It’s just one of those hard lessons that she’s going to have to learn. Being in a healthy single parent household is better than being in an abusive 2 parent household
- Having a kid with someone who beats you is definitely a great reason to stay with him and there’s absolutely no chance he’s ever gonna lay hands on your kid either 🤡🤡🤡🤡
- Bella is very “young” for her age. That shows in all of her decisions and relationships. Her lives make her look worst and worst, but she’ll hopefully figure it out as she gets older.
Hopefully, Bryce has grown up and will not hurt Isabella or Haisley. For now, they seem happy, and that is all anyone could want.
