The airport appearance came shortly after one of the most memorable moments of Kohli’s illustrious career. Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Shubman Gill’s side Gujarat Titans (GT) by five wickets in the IPL 2026 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, becoming only the third franchise in tournament history to win back-to-back IPL titles.
Kohli led the chase with a magnificent unbeaten 75 off 42 deliveries. His innings featured nine boundaries and three sixes as he guided RCB to victory with remarkable composure under pressure.
