– Scheduled for 14-16 October, the forum will present feature-film projects in development as well as works in progress from all across Europe
The Warsaw International Film Festival (WIFF) has opened submissions for the 2026 edition of the Warsaw Co-Production Forum, the flagship industry event of the Warsaw Industry Days, which will take place alongside the festival this October. Positioned as a platform for projects seeking international partners in Central and Eastern Europe, the forum continues the festival’s ambition to strengthen Warsaw’s role as a major European co-production hub.
Scheduled for 14-16 October, the Warsaw Co-Production Forum will present feature-film projects in development as well as works in progress from all across Europe. The initiative is aimed at producers looking for co-producers, financiers, sales agents, distributors and festival partners, with a particular focus on collaboration opportunities involving Poland and the wider CEE region.
The forum forms the backbone of the Warsaw Industry Days, which will run from 12-16 October. The industry platform brings together producers, filmmakers, distributors, sales agents, festival programmers, critics and emerging talents from across Europe through a programme of networking, project presentations, workshops and industry discussions.
Since its relaunch, Warsaw Industry Days has sought to combine the festival’s long-standing industry tradition with new initiatives designed to respond to current market needs. Alongside the Co-Production Forum, the programme includes Industry Talks, the Warsaw Next talent initiative, presentations by participants in the Wajda School programmes and activities organised with Doc Lab Poland.
The organisers have also opened the call for the 21st FIPRESCI Warsaw Critics Project, a workshop dedicated to young film critics and journalists from Central and Eastern Europe (click here to apply). Taking place during the festival from 9-18 October, the programme offers participants hands-on experience of festival film criticism, mentorship from established critics and the opportunity to serve on the Young FIPRESCI Jury. Applications for the workshop are open until 31 July.
