The World Cup is back, and finally, it’s on our shores. If you’re looking to see some of the best soccer players (or footballers) represent their nation, I’ll tell you exactly how to watch it (especially if you’re in a host city).
The 2026 FIFA World Cup is taking place in several cities across Canada, the U.S., and Mexico, with the Canadian host cities being Vancouver and Toronto. The first match starts on June 11 at 3:00 P.M., with the championship match taking place on July 19 at 3:00 P.M.
Now, here is how to watch it.
How to watch
Now, the main (and best) way to watch it is on TSN, the official broadcaster of the FIFA World Cup in Canada, although some games will be broadcast on Crave and CTV — which I should clarify is through either the CTV channel on Crave, or the CTV TV channels.
To watch the actual games, you need a TSN subscription ($29.99), which includes the TSN+ add-on with additional feeds and coverage of each match. TSN does have a deal right now for a regular TSN subscription: pay $59.99 for three months of service. If you wanted a bit more than just TSN, Bell is offering a bundle with Crave (standard with ads) for $10 more ($69.99 for three months).
If you also happen to need a new phone, the telecom giant is offering three free months of TSN ($29.99/mo thereafter) with any of its phone plans.
If you did want to watch the games while grabbing some grub and a bit of atmosphere, you could always head down to a local bar or restaurant (or Cineplex if you want a pretty fun experience). Although some places won’t take walk-ins, there will be places in both Toronto and Vancouver that do, but you should go really early and prepare your social battery, because the crowds will be nuts.
Below is a list of when Canada will play and where you’ll be able to watch those games. But TSN also has a full schedule on its website if you want to see when other teams will play.
- June 12 at 3 p.m. ET | Canada v. Bosnia-Herzegovina at BMO Field (Toronto) | avail. on TSN 1, 3, 4, CTV, Crave
- June 18 at 6 p.m. ET | Canada v. Qatar at BC Place (Vancouver) | avail. on TSN 1, 3, 4, 5, CTV, Crave
- June 24 at 3 p.m. ET | Canada v. Switzerland at BC Place (Vancouver) | avail. on TSN 1, 3, 4, 5, CTV, Crave
More Team Canada games will be available depending on how they perform in the tournament. Moreover, some of the Round of 32 games will take place in Toronto and Vancouver, and Vancouver will have one round of 16 game as well. The quarter and semifinals will all take place in the U.S.
