Telus has added YouTube Premium to its Stream+ add-ons for $12.99 per month. If you get it through Telus, you’ll get a 10 per cent discount, bringing it down to $11.69.
YouTube Premium through Stream+ lets you play YouTube when your screen is off in the background, download videos for offline viewing and gives you access to the YouTube Music app ad-free.
If you already have YouTube Premium, you’ll need to cancel your existing subscription before you activate with Telus to avoid double-billing. There is no family plan option, though, so this add-on works better if you’re an individual account.
Telus Stream+ Premium costs $43 per month and includes Netflix Premium, Disney+ Premium, Amazon Prime membership and Telus Films & Series. There’s also Stream+ Basic for $23 per month, which includes Netflix Standard with ads, Disney+ Standard with ads, Amazon Prime memberships and more.
