Motorola’s first entry into the ‘Fold’ category has the most expensive starting price of any device in Canada at $2,699.99.
You can buy the device from Motorola.ca starting May 21, with availability at more carriers on June 12.
This is crazy expensive, even more than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 at launch — though it’s possible that the Fold 8 that releases later this year might have a similar price tag. I briefly went hands-on with the Razr Fold back at CES 2026, where I noted the device has a nice feel, but I needed to spend a lot more time with it before making any definitive statements about the device.
I haven’t started reviewing the handset yet, but hopefully I’ll get my hands on the handset again to say whether it’s worth that steep price tag. Also, when I played around with the device at CES, I didn’t know any of the phone’s specs, so at least we have that now.

While the handset is pretty expensive, it does have standout specs such as a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, 16GB of RAM, a 6,000mAh battery (bigger than any other foldable battery in Canada) with 80W turbo charging and 55W wireless charging. It also has stylus support, offers vegan leather and IP48/IP49 waterproofing (but it’s not completely dust proof, so watch out).
I’m looking forward to checking out Canada’s most expensive phone, keep checking out MobileSyrup to learn more about the Razr Fold.
