This summer was one of celebration for LeAnn Rimes. ABC renewed 9-1-1: Nashville for a second season. She plotted a major tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of her first album. Unfortunately, the singer’s health problems have been an issue. She was forced to postpone her tour again for the third time amid a serious illness and doctor-ordered vocal rest. Keep reading to find out what’s going on.
LeAnn Rimes Postpones Tour For Third Time Amid Serious Illness
LeAnn Rimes released her debut single “Blue” off the album of the same name in 1996. She was just 13 when the song made her an international star. The album stayed at number 1 on the Hot Country charts for 28 weeks.
While on break from filming 9-1-1: Nashville, the singer planned to tour the country to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the album that launched her career. Sadly, the tour has been affected by her health issues. LeAnn Rimes has struggled with multiple health issues for years, including intense TMJ pain and anxiety. However, those issues weren’t the cause of the tour postponement.
The singer revealed in late April that she was postponing shows in Spokane and Seattle, Washington, because she was sick. Unfortunately, her health took a turn for the worse. “After a diagnosis of covid leading to severe laryngitis, I’m so sorry to have to reschedule next week’s shows,” she wrote on social media in May.

Now, more tour dates have been postponed on doctor’s orders. LeAnn Rimes shared the news on social media that shows upcoming shows in Washington, D.C., and Wilmington, Delaware, had been postponed. “After a follow-up visit with my doctor, she has strongly advised me to take an additional week of vocal rest while I heal from this sickness,” she wrote on Instagram.
‘F**king Raw’ Over Health Issues
LeAnn Rimes shared more about her health issues affecting the tour on her Substack. “I am f**king raw,” she wrote. “My throat, my esophagus, my heart… h**l, i even have a blister on my heel. oh, and i’m on my period, too.”
“When it rains, it pours. i feel like life has stripped me down and stripped everything back for the moment. this whole illness has been incredibly humbling,” the singer continued.

“It’s funny how quickly life can bring you to your knees. one minute you’re moving through your routines, checking boxes, handling what’s next… and the next, your body simply says, “no more.” no powering through… no performing…. no pretending you’re fine…. just rawness,” LeAnn Rimes reflected.
However, she assured fans that she’ll be back on stage soon and was excited to see them. Hopefully, her health gets better and she can resume the tour.
