Smartphones come in a various price ranges, anywhere from $100 to $2,700 — especially if you purchase a phone with a higher storage/RAM configuration. Of course, carriers can help supplement the cost of phones, but the monthly cost can be overwhelming for some, while others prefer this method of paying for their device.

As someone who reviews phones, I’ve been swapping between devices all the time for the past nine years. The last time I bought a phone, it was around $600-$700 outright, and it was the Pixel 2 XL. Back then, phones were a lot more affordable, and now I have no clue how much people regularly spend on their handsets.

Whenever I review smartphones, I consider the price of a device and whether I think I’d purchase the specific handset. However, now with phones like the $2,499 Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the $2,699 Motorola Razr Fold, maybe I wouldn’t buy a phone even if it’s the best one I’ve ever used because those price tags are hella expensive.

Now, we’re wondering how much money you would spend on your next smartphone? Are you interested in financing your next device via a carrier or a direct retailer? Let us know in our poll and comment below.
