Today Show viewers were shocked when Matt Lauer was unexpectedly fired nearly a decade ago for his behavior. Now, shocking allegations have come out against Al Roker. The accuser claimed that the beloved weatherman created a toxic workplace environment. Keep reading to find out more about the bombshell allegations.
Al Roker Touted In Mysterious Billboard
Al Roker is just a few years away from being the longest-running Today Show anchor. The weatherman celebrated his 30th anniversary earlier this year. Viewers supported him through health struggles and weight loss.
A mysterious billboard went up in New Jersey in March, declaring that Al Roker is the one thing everyone can agree on. The assumption was that it was meant in honor of the longtime NBC staffer. But one of his co-hosts made some shocking allegations that paint the billboard in a different light.
Today Show Weatherman Accused Of Creating Toxic Work Environment
Billy Bush was unceremoniously fired from NBC in October 2016. He had only joined the Today Show a few months earlier. However, his career was hit hard after the Donald Trump Access Hollywood interview tape leaked. During the interview, Trump made crude comments about grabbing women by their private parts. It didn’t cost him the Presidency, but it cost Billy Bush his job at the Today Show.

During a recent podcast appearance, Billy Bush said that his little time at the NBC morning program was miserable because of Al Roker. He accused the longtime weatherman of creating a toxic workplace environment. “People don’t know how mean he is. He’s mean,” Billy Bush replied when asked about Al Roker’s longevity on The Nerve With Maureen Callahan podcast.
“The way I describe Al is three words. Territorial, vindictive, and chronically unprepared,” Billy Bush added. He claimed that Al Roker’s “jovial” demeanor is just an act for the cameras.

Al Roker Almost Fired?
Billy Bush joined Al Roker to co-host the Today Show‘s third hour. “It would never be a successful hour because he’s maybe the worst interviewer on television, and he’s totally unprepared. And I came in for the new job, and I was to be the lead person on that hour,” he said on the podcast.
The former Extra host claimed the show’s general manager told him that Al Roker was about to be fired. “You need to survive until March [2017], and then we’re going to unload Al. We’re going to get him out of this deal. When his contract is up, we’re going to get him off this hour because he is toxic,” Billy Bush claimed he was told.
Obviously, that didn’t happen, and Billy Bush was the one who was fired. Tell us in the comments if you think what he said about Al Roker could be true.
