Anyone who’s been on social media in the last few days will inevitably have come across one or more “Gut Genug” aka “Good Enough” memes or co-signs. The track by KitschKrieg Blumengarten and Shirin David is making quite a splash internationally and has even been picked up by well-known US musicians and creators including Lizzo and Wiz Khalifa singing along though they don’t understand a word.It’s impossible to say for sure where it all started but it seems that the reel released with the track is the reason “Gut Genug” (Good Enough) was able to reach an international audience at all. With a danceable beat reminiscent of the 2010s, the song certainly holds its own against international tracks in terms of sound quality. Furthermore, the simplicity of the lyrics seems to contribute to the fact that even non-German-speaking music fans can connect with the chorus.
