News has come out that NASCAR legend Kyle Busch has passed away at the age of 41. A statement has since been shared by NASCAR and Busch’s racing team. Reports of Busch being hospitalized had also come out earlier in the day.
Kyle Busch’s Racing Team, Richard Childress Racing, & NASCAR Shared The Shocking News In A Statement
Busch was a professional stock car racing driver and former team owner. He competed full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, winning the 2009 NASCAR Nationwide Series and was a two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, winning in 2015 and 2019. He was also the former owner of Kyle Busch Motorsports.
In his personal life, Busch married Samantha Sarcinella in 2010. The two shared two children together, a son and a daughter.
Busch’s racing team, Richard Childress Racing, and NASCAR, confirmed the tragic news of his passing. As shared by TMZ, they released the following statement: “On behalf of the Busch family, everyone at Richard Childress Racing and all of NASCAR, we are devastated to announce the sudden and tragic passing of Kyle Busch.”
News Had Previously Come Out Earlier In The Day That Busch Had Been Hospitalized
“Our entire NASCAR family is heartbroken by the loss of Kyle Busch. A future Hall of Famer, Kyle was a rare talent, one who comes along once in a generation. He was fierce, he was passionate, he was immensely skilled and he cared deeply about the sport and fans.”

During the statement, it was asked that fans respect the family’s privacy. In addition, it was shared that updates would be given as soon as possible. As the outlet noted, Busch was 41 at the time of his death.
As noted by Fox News, earlier in the day, Busch was said to have been hospitalized for an undisclosed illness. At the time, it was noted that he would miss this weekend’s Coca-Cola 600.
