Diego Simeone’s side will go into the game full of confidence having disposed of LaLiga rivals Barcelona over two legs in the Champions League quarter-final to set up a last-four clash with Arsenal.
Atleti, who start as favourites, have not won the Copa since 2013 but will be hoping to end that barren run in the competition tonight.
Sociedad’s last triumph came in 2020 and ought to have been a Basque party but there were no fans in attendance due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
This time, however, over 26,000 Sociedad fans will make the long trip south in the hope of witnessing Pellegrino Matarazzo’s men claim victory.
