Dorit Kemsley had a rocky Season 15 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She struggled with her friendships, her finances, her estranged ex, and so much more. At the same time, she wrote a memoir and floated on that high for most of the year. Now, the book has come out, and it is a New York Times Bestseller. With her major accomplishments as well as some major setbacks, Dorit still has a lot to say, especially regarding her friendship with Kyle Richards. Keep reading for details as to what the mother of two had to say.
Dorit Kemsley’s Friendships Are Lost
There have been many ups and downs regarding Dorit Kemsley’s RHOBH friendships. She came in very close to Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd, thanks to her husband, PK Kemsley. Unfortunately, that ended horribly, and LVP ultimately left the franchise. This only brought Dorit closer to the other ladies, especially Kyle Richards and Erika Jayne. Yet, when Dorit’s marriage to PK came to a screeching halt, her persona began to change, and she was lashing out left and right. Right or wrong, she was going to use her voice, and not everyone cared for it.
Soon enough, her closest friends were gossiping about the way she spoke, behaved, her tardiness, and her excessive spending habits. By the end of the season, she was not on good terms with Erika or Kyle. Moreover, she believed that Kyle had helped turn Erika against her. Time has gone by, and Dorit has seen a positive path forward with Erika, but what about Kyle? There was a post where Kyle was called a “hypocrite,” which Dorit liked, yet she believes they can reconcile. However, it would take both of them working together to make that happen:
“I’m very hopeful. I would love to see Kyle and I be able to get to a place that, you know, we really can put our differences aside or hash it out, whichever. … I thought we were going [into the season] in that place. I think that … if both people want to, there’s always room for making up and making things better.”
After RHOBH fans heard what Dorit Kemsley said about mending fences, they were mixed. Some felt that Kyle was the mean girl all season, while others were convinced that Dorit was delusional:
- Kyle is the mean girl this season😢
- Too late, too bad. 🤪
- Dorit go back under rhe rock you came from Irrelevant narcissist
More Lies From Dorit?
As aforementioned, Dorit Kemsley’s memoir made it onto the New York Times Bestseller list. This is a huge accomplishment for any author, but it was not without scrutiny. Unburdened came in at number 13, but it had what is deemed the “dagger of death” alongside it. That can mean there were bulk purchases made of the book, and it did not make the list authentically.

Fans who had learned of this very early on were skeptical, and it made them want to buy the book even less:
- Someone brought up that many times the publisher sells to their own distributor or something like that who then sells just to get it on the list to hopefully dupe into buying it I assume.
- A bestseller? Oh wait … it’s the NY Times …. we all know how low their standards are. And Bravo must be putting down some coin for them as well. Her book is a “bestseller” just like her swimsuits are.
Regardless, it would be nice to see Dorit Kemsley and Kyle Richards reconcile, but time will tell if that is going to happen. Do you see a path forward for them, or is it over? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
