VALLETTA: Jason Statham is currently in Malta, shooting action-comedy Jason Statham Stole My Bike, directed by David Leitch and benefiting from the local 40% cash rebate.
Produced by 87North, Punch Palace Productions, and Black Bear Pictures, the film is also shot in the UK. Hannah Waddingham, Eddie Peng, and Daniel Ings are in the cast.
The Malta Film Commission is overseeing and facilitating the project through its cash rebate incentive system.
Jason Statham, who is playing a fictionalised version on himself, has shared on social media pics with him and fiancée, supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, on a boat off the Maltese coast.
