Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo‘s divorce has revealed more than the end of their nearly 10-year marriage.
Newly filed court documents show the former couple intends to continue pursuing parenthood together despite their separation, even after receiving legal advice to seek specialized guidance on reproductive rights and genetic materials.

The former couple’s marital dissolution agreement, filed in Williamson County, Tennessee, shows that both parties were advised separately by their attorneys regarding the potential legal complications surrounding reproductive materials and future parental rights after divorce.
According to the legal filing, obtained by Page Six, Jelly Roll, 41, and Bunnie Xo, 46, were informed that “there may be consequences pertaining to this Agreement with respect to their genetic materials, due to evolving technology and case law; as well as the ‘interim category’ of interest afforded to said genetic materials.”
The agreement noted that questions surrounding ownership and rights related to such materials remain an area of ongoing legal development.
The Couple Refused To Seek Independent Advice From Professionals In Genetics And Reproductive Law
Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo, who have openly discussed the emotional and physical toll of their IVF journey, acknowledged that their divorce attorneys were not specialists in reproductive or genetic law.
Both were encouraged to seek “independent advice from qualified expert counsel in genetics and reproductive law” before signing the agreement.
However, the documents state that the former spouses ultimately decided not to obtain additional legal counsel and proceeded with the arrangement on their own terms.
The divorce paperwork also addressed digital privacy, formally revoking any previous permissions that allowed either party or their representatives access to the other’s personal accounts, records, or passwords.

In addition, the agreement contains confidentiality and non-disparagement provisions, preventing either side from publicly discussing sensitive private matters or making negative statements about one another.
