Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s daughter, North West, was set to kick off her first headlining tour alongside Molly Santana. Yet, less than a week before the tour was to set sail, it was abruptly canceled. This comes as North was under fire for her music, look, and tour. Keep reading for the details that are currently known.
North West Was Constantly Slammed
At just thirteen years old, North West was ready to headline her own tour. She was headed out with Molly Santana, but she faced immense scrutiny. For quite some time, followers believed that she was acting and dressing far too old. The daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West sported bright blue hair, a bevy of facial and hand piercings, and micro skirts. Furthermore, she attended big shows and festivals alone, which allowed older men to approach her, seemingly forgetting that she was and is just a kid.
The newly minted teen was set to head out on her first tour on August 5th, but in a shocking move, she appears to have canceled it. There has been no explanation thus far, but she was slammed beforehand. Many did not feel that this was a smart move, as they felt she was too young, needed to be a kid, and that the tour life would be too. Furthermore, they slammed Kim and Kanye for encouraging North to grow up so fast. Now, Texas and Toronto are canceled on Ticketmaster, plus the Kimokawaii Tour website has been deleted.
However, Molly Santana and North West are still scheduled to perform in San Francisco on August 25th. Therefore, they may just be scaling down from a tour to appearances, which would make more sense for right now.
Love & Support
North West has been very lucky as her mother, father, and extended family have been immensely supportive of her dreams. When she released her first EP, all of her aunts and her grandma, Kris Jenner, shared it on their social media. They even threw her a small party to celebrate the big moment. As for cancelling the tour, followers seem to think that this is all for the best:
- Who started this whole ordeal by telling her she had talent? Sorry, I forget, if you’re a Kardashian, you don’t have to have talent.
- Who’s buying the tickets? Her audience is pre-teen? So who’s gonna be paying to watch her and the other girl that’s barely known? Someone didn’t think this through.
- Probably stopped for low tickets sales maybe??
It is unclear if low ticket sales were to blame, but some did ask if North was in school. Kim Kardashian has made it clear that she is being homeschooled and that it is tailored to her interests.
