All of us here at Baxter Media were saddened to learn of the passing of Valerie Linton, a well-known and respected figure in the Canadian travel industry, and whose dedication to travel insurance left a lasting mark on the profession.
Valerie passed away peacefully in Collingwood on June 20, 2026, on what would have been her 45th wedding anniversary with her late husband, Gerry.
For nearly two years, Valerie had missed Gerry every single day, and it is anything but coincidental that Val passed away on their anniversary.
Throughout her career, Valerie touched countless lives with her sharp English wit and warm sense of humour, professional to the core, yet always with a smile close behind.
So, take a moment to remember Valerie Linton.
