Simone Biles Recently Shared Photos From A Vacation In Belize, Seen In Some Alongside Husband, Jonathan Owens
Biles is an American artistic gymnast, considered one of the most decorated gymnasts in history. She has earned around 11 Olympic medals and 30 World Championship medals.
Recently, Biles took to social media to share photos from her vacation in Belize. In some of these posts, she could be seen with her husband, Jonathan Owens.
However, the posts got an interesting response from fans. As previously reported, she had made headlines after sharing a health scare with fans. Seen resting in bed, she shared that she had undergone “the scariest experience of my life,” during multiple Instagram Story posts. It appeared that Biles left for her trip around eight days following this health scare.
During one of Biles’ posts, a commenter wrote, “Almost died but look at these traveling selfies….” This ended up getting quite a response from Biles herself.
A Few Fans Came To Biles’ Defense, With One Promising That She Had An ‘Army’ Behind Her
Biles defended the trip, sharing that the trip was part of her healing process. As she shared, “Ugh, these comments make me sad.”
“A little over two weeks ago, I experienced a serious medical emergency that could have ended very differently. And this trip has been part of allowing myself to heal & appreciate being here.”
Biles continued, “I hope you understand that life-changing experiences can shift your perspective. & that you’re able to extend a little more grace to others moving forward.” Wanting to end things on a positive note, she concluded with “Have a nice day!”
Following Biles’ response, other fans also came out in her defense. A few even praised her own response. Some comments included:
- “Ignore the haters – glad to see you happy and healthy.”
- “What’s funny about almost dying then taking time for yourself and your husband? Maybe find some compassion, or something else to do besides throw shade.”
- “Smart respond. Stay blessed beautiful.”
- “We LUV THE HELL OUT OF YOU. You have an Army to defend you.”
