It’s time to believe again! The lovable Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) returns to the great game of football (or soccer) in the new teaser trailer for season 4 of Ted Lasso, which you can watch below.
While the season 3 finale left a heartfelt bookend to Ted’s coaching journey with A.F.C. Richmond, Season 4 begins an exciting new chapter as he takes on the challenge of coaching a second division women’s football team. The new season welcomes Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern and Grant Feely.
Some of the familiar returning faces include Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, and Brett Goldstein as the infamous Roy Kent.
The beloved show, which won back-to-back Emmys for Outstanding Comedy series, follows American football coach Ted Lasso (Sudeikis) after he is selected as the new manager of fictional Premier League team, A.F.C. Richmond, despite his lack of knowledge of the sport. While his extreme optimism and unorthodox coaching methods initially clash with the team, he eventually wiggles his way into their hearts and becomes an integral part of their lives both on and off the pitch.
Exploring themes of family, romance, friendship, and self-discovery, it is a wholesome and comedic celebration of the best of English and American culture, and season four looks like it’s shaping up to be the same!
Ted Lasso begins streaming on Apple TV+ on August 5th.
