The Pitt returns for its third season in January, and HBO Max has released a teaser and the first photos for the upcoming season. New cast additions have also been announced.
Noah Wyle, Patrick Ball, Katherine LaNasa, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Isa Briones, Gerran Howell, Shabana Azeez, and Sepideh Moafi star in the medical drama, which follows the staff of an emergency room in a Pittsburgh hospital. The series will pick up four months after the end of season three with Dr. Robbie’s return to the hospital.
Several of the new additions will play patients in the season ahead. TV Line shared the following about the additions:
“The following five actors will recur as emergency department patients: Stephen Chang (“Bosch: Legacy”) as Mitch Connors, Barry Clifton (“The Madison”) as David “Bear” Burton, Lawrence Kao (“Walker: Independence”) as Harold Joslyn, Brent Sexton (“Tracker”) as Daryl Oates, and Hannah Ware (“The First”) as Charlotte Boyle.”
There are also new additions to the staff. It was revealed that Chris Diamantopoulos has been cast as Dr. Asher Grossman, the chief medical officer of Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center and JB Tadena will play PTMC physician Dr. Reed Thomas.
An exact premiere date for The Pitt’s return has not been announced, but it will likely return in early January. More photos and the teaser for season three are below.
