Sadly, the actor suffered huge losses in his personal life when his son, Jett, died at just 16, and later when his wife, Kelly Preston, passed away after a battle with breast cancer.
He made his triumphant return to the industry at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival. But his role was more than just an actor. He attended the star-studded event to premiere his directorial debut. John Travolta stars and directs Propeller One-Way Night Coach alongside his daughter, Ella Bleu Travolta. The film was an adaptation of his 1997 children’s book.
However, his directorial debut was overshadowed by his shocking new look at the event. John Travolta finally accepted a bald look in 2019 after years of toupee rumors. But he covered his head with a beret at Cannes and every interview since then. He explained his new look.
