Craig Melvin Says ‘That’s A Wrap,’ Thankful For Memories
Craig Melvin joined the NBC News family in 2011. He worked at MSNBC and other programs before transitioning to the Today Show in 2018. He quickly became a familiar and comforting face for viewers. Craig Melvin hosted the program’s third hour before replacing Hoda Kotb on the first two hours. The network relied on him earlier this year when his co-host, Savannah Guthrie, took a leave of absence amid her mother’s shocking disappearance.
Craig Melvin has a great relationship with his co-hosts, even though he tried to kill Al Roker with a birthday gift. The Today host took to social media this week to let fans know “that’s a wrap” on a huge part of his life. However, he wasn’t talking about the NBC news program.
Craig Melvin was saying a bittersweet goodbye to summer and spending time with his family. “That’s a wrap on an incredible summer. ☀️ Hope you made some good memories,” he wrote. “The Melvin family is ready for a new school year!”
The Today Show host shares two children with his wife Lindsay Czarniak: Delano, 12, and Sybil, 9. Craig Melvin shared snapshots of his summer with his wife, kids, and extended family and friends. Part of their summer vacation was spent on Hilton Head Island in his home state of South Carolina. It looks like fun was had by all.
