Hoda Kotb of Today fame recently made a share at a big event. At the time, she could be seen with her ex-fiancé, showing how they have maintained their friendship over the years. Kotb is known to many through her work with Today. She previously joined the show in 2007 as it launched its fourth hour. In 2018, she became the main morning co-anchor at the start of the year.
In late 2024, Kotb announced her departure from the show. Her last official day was on January 10, 2025. However, she has made a few appearances on the show since then, such as helping to fill in for Savannah Guthrie amid her mother Nancy’s disappearance earlier this year.
In her personal life, Kotb was married to Burzis Kanga from 2005 to 2008. Following this, she began a relationship with New York financier Joel Schiffman in 2013, announcing their engagement in 2019. However, in 2022, the two announced that their engagement had ended. That said, they shared that they would continue to remain friends, as well as co-parent Kotb’s two adopted daughters together.
In a recent share on Instagram, Kotb shared that she and Schiffman were celebrating the World Cup together. As she captioned the carousel post, “Happy world cup!!! France vs [Sweden] @joy101.”
Seen four years together after their engagement ended, Kotb and Schiffman could be seen smiling while in front of the stadium together. The photo of the two was the fourth and final image of the post.

As Kotb and Schiffman co-parent their kids together, it makes sense that they would still be part of each other’s lives all these years later. However, the moment showed off that the two have indeed remained friends through it all, too.
While it was this last photo that really sparked reactions from fans, the first wasn’t a slouch either. She could be seen sitting in the stands alongside star John Leguizamo. This was followed by a video of excited fans in the stands and a photo of the field.
