Savannah Guthrie has been through a lot over the past year. Recently, however, the Today star had a reason to celebrate, as she paid a few tributes to her daughter on a special day. Notably, Guthrie wasn’t the only one to do so.
Today‘s Savannah Guthrie Shares Two Children, Vale & Charley, With Her Husband, Mike Feldman
Guthrie is known to many for her work on Today. She joined NBC News in 2007 as a legal analyst and correspondent. In 2012, she became a co-anchor on Today.
Back in February, fans have been following Guthrie’s family after her mother, Nancy, was reported missing. At the time, Guthrie stepped away from the show to focus on the search, making her return this past April.
Recently, Guthrie had a lighter story to share with fans. The family had celebrated her daughter Vale’s 12th birthday. Taking to Instagram, she included a photo of Vale as a newborn baby. As she wrote in a caption, “On this day, 12 years ago. I will never forget this joy.”
This was followed by photos of Savannah in her hospital bed getting to embrace and kiss her new daughter. As she continued, “Happy birthday to my dearest Vale, growing up so beautiful, kind, soulful and wise. I thank God for you every day.”
A Few Of Guthrie’s Co-Stars Also Took To Social Media To Wish Vale A Happy Birthday
Guthrie didn’t just honor her daughter on social media. She also gave Vale a shoutout on the air during an episode of Today. When Al Roker was celebrating the birthdays of the various guests at the show’s plaza, Guthrie chimed in, “You know who else? My daughter, Vale! Happy birthday!”
Vale’s father, Mike Feldman, also took to social media to share a tribute to his daughter. Sharing a photo of Vale giving him a kiss, he wrote, “Happy Birthday, Vale! 12 years old, a young lady now, but you will always be my little girl.” Taking to the comments, Guthrie shared, “Best girl, best daddy,” complete with a heart emoji.
With Guthrie’s recent post, fans have also been sharing their reactions. Naturally, many fans wanted to wish Vale a happy birthday.
This even included a few big names. Hoda Kotb, who previously worked alongside Guthrie, wrote, “Sweet Vale,” adding heart emojis. Some comments included:
- “Our daughter’s share the same birthday!.. Happy birthday to Vale!”
- “What a precious baby and a gifted, dynamic and incredible 12 year old!!! HBD Vale!!!!”
- “Happy birthday Vale! She is so lucky to have you as her mom.”
