Top Chef is now in Season 23, and fans love it just as much as they did when it first began. It has so many exciting elements to it, and that is what has kept it going for twenty years. A Drastic Transformation
Viewers typically watch Top Chef for the cooking aspect and to see who can take it all the way home. They also appreciate the commentary from the judges on how the competitors can do better along the way. At the same time, the host is always a fun addition, and Kristen Kish, who won the show, has taken over from Padma Lakshmi. She was recently on The Traitors and did quite well for herself. Now, one of the show’s judges has dropped an incredible amount of weight and looks like a new person.
Gail Simmons has been a judge on the show since it began in 2006. The 49-year-old Toronto, Ontario, Canada native is a culinary journalist, but she just showed off her new body. She didn’t say how much she had lost, but it was evident. Gail showcased her long, slim legs in high-waisted, micro, cream striped shorts with a matching blazer and sparkling gold tank. Her caramel hair was straightened and split down the middle. She shared these snaps on her social media alongside Kristen and Supergirl star Melissa Benoist, who was a guest on the show.
The Top Chef judge also has a new book coming out in November 2026, so she has a lot going for her this year. Fans and followers immediately chimed in with love and support while Kristen Kish joked about her wacky poses:
