TWICE dropped the announcement that K-pop fans had been waiting for. The group, signed to JYP Entertainment, officially unveiled the “THIS IS FOR” World Tour on Sunday. Seoul is already confirmed as one of the stops.
The reveal came via the group’s official Instagram account, @twicetagram, with a short caption: “THIS IS FOR 끄-읕💙,” alongside the official hashtags for the tour and the Seoul leg. That stylized 끄-읕 is a phonetic riff on the Korean word 끝. In Korean, 끝 means “end.” Fans have been theorizing about what that choice signals for the tour’s overall concept.
Seoul’s inclusion is confirmed through the hashtag #TWICE_THISISFOR_WORLD_TOUR_IN_SEOUL. That detail sent the South Korean ONCE fandom into immediate celebration. No other cities have been announced yet. But “world tour” signals that the group has big plans beyond their home country.
The response was immediate. The announcement pulled more than 315,000 Instagram likes on the day it went up. For a tour reveal – not even a single or a music video – that’s a significant number.
TWICE debuted under JYP Entertainment in October 2015 and became one of the defining acts of K-pop’s third generation. Hits like “CHEER UP,” “TT,” and “What is Love?” made them a household name across Asia. Their fanbase, called ONCE, helped carry them into arena-level success around the world. The group built a reputation over the years as one of the genre’s strongest live acts.
The name “THIS IS FOR” carries real emotional weight. There’s a dedication quality to it. It points directly at fans who’ve been there through every era of the group’s career. TWICE hasn’t revealed how that theme translates into the staging or setlist yet. But the name alone is already doing a lot of work.
That 끝 reference in the caption hasn’t gone unnoticed. Some fans are reading it as the close of a chapter. Others see it as a celebration of how far the group has come. More details haven’t dropped yet. Both readings are on the table.
What’s clear is that the language around this tour era is intentional. TWICE has always treated the connection with ONCE as a central part of the group’s identity. A world tour called “THIS IS FOR” fits right into that story.
TWICE has stayed active through a mix of group releases and solo projects from individual members. A full-scale world tour announcement in July 2026 feels like a signal that a major chapter is opening up.
As of Sunday, the full tour schedule hasn’t been released. Fans are watching @twicetagram closely for additional city announcements. Nothing beyond Seoul has been confirmed yet.
The “THIS IS FOR” era is officially underway. For ONCE, the wait for more details is going to be a tough one.
