Season 7 of Unexpected has ended, but there is still so much going on with the cast. Mama G just hopped on to share a major update regarding her daughter, Amya, and her ex, Jose. Mama G Has A Major Life Update
When Unexpected viewers met Mama G in Season 7, they adored her and the way that she was raising her daughter, Amya. Amya was sixteen and pregnant with a baby boy from her boyfriend, Jose. Yet, she never got the proper sex talk, given that she had previously dated women. Jose lived with Amya and her mother, and they eventually welcomed their son, Sammy. Yet, it was a struggle as Amya did not like her postpartum body, and she felt Jose could help more. At the same time, viewers believed that she picked on Jose far too much and never let him help when he wanted to.
By the time the update show aired, the couple had broken up, and Amya had a girlfriend. However, Jose was still living with her and Mama G so that they could successfully co-parent. Now, things have drastically shifted as Mama G spilled the tea. Not only has Jose moved out of the house, but so has Amya. Furthermore, they have chosen not to put Sammy in daycare, so everyone rotates taking care of him. On Mama G’s two days off, she has him, and the same with Amya and Jose, so everyone is successfully working together. If anyone wants to move home, the door is always open.
There had been some tension between Jose and his family, hence why the Unexpected star lived with Amya and Mama G. The Las Vegas, Nevada-based couple were going to be torn apart when his family relocated. They also were not thrilled with him becoming a father at sixteen, but he has always had the love and support of Mama G.
Nothing But Endless Love
Mama G and Mia’s father, Keith, were the breakout stars of Unexpected Season 7. Viewers loved the way they were tough but kind with their children the whole time. Now that Amya and Jose have flown the coop, followers were ready to move in with her. They also wondered if she was going to find a partner now that she was an empty nester:
