Maggie Sajak of Wheel of Fortune fame recently announced her new relationship to the world. Since then, the new love in her life has opened up about their relationship. During the share, it was revealed that the couple has already reached one certain milestone in particular.
Maggie Sajak Announced Her New Relationship With A Photo At Disneyland This Past April
Maggie is the daughter of Pat Sajak, who famously hosted Wheel of Fortune for decades. She herself also serves as an on-air social media correspondent for the show, joining the show a few years before her father left. In addition, she also works as a country music singer and a Super Bowl correspondent for Inside Edition.
In her personal life, Maggie has become known for her relationship with Jackson Olson, a social media personality and baseball player. Jackson serves as a third baseman for the Savannah Bananas, a barnstorming exhibition baseball team. Though meant to be entertaining, using a variation of the game called “Banana Ball,” the Bananas’ games are still meant to be competitive and unscripted.
The two announced their relationship last month on Instagram with a photo of the couple at Disneyland. In a caption, Olson wrote, “Applications closed,” complete with a green checkmark emoji, seemingly confirming their relationship status.
Since then, Olson has recently shared that they have already crossed a big milestone in their relationship: he met her father. Speaking with Us Weekly, he recently shared, “I have [met Pat Sajak], he’s a great guy.”
Olson Noted That He & Maggie Live On Different Coasts, But They Make It Work
Famous father or not, Olson noted that meeting the parents is always a daunting thing. He noted, “Everybody’s nervous to meet the father of the person they’re dating, or mother or both.”
Olson continued, sharing how happy he was in his current relationship. He continued, “I’m a very weird person, I’m a very out there person. I’m not going to hold back who I am as a person, and people seem to enjoy that company. I’m happy that I’m able to be myself truly in every aspect now.” In other words, he seemed happy that the relationship was now fully out in the open.
During the share, Olson noted that things aren’t always easy, as he and Maggie live on different coasts. He noted, “It’s really cool because we’re obviously living very different lives right now on the opposite side of the country, but we’re able to come together and just have an awesome relationship.”
However, the two have found ways to make it work, with Maggie making sure to attend some of Olson’s games. He took pride in this, sharing, “Every person that I care about in my life has seen me play with the Bananas now.”
