A protest group has put up arcade machines for a satirical game mocking President Trump and the Iran war at the District of Columbia War Memorial.
The game, called “Operation Epic Furious: Strait to Hell,” is the brainchild of the group Secret Handshake, which also uploaded the game to play online. The group erected three arcade cabinets at the memorial, first built to honor city residents who died in World War I.
“The game features furious tweet battles against Iranian schoolgirls, low-flow shower heads and other threats to American freedom like DEI and the Pope. And just to save you time, the only way you can lose is by trying to hold Melania’s hand. But it’s the Middle East, so you also can’t win either,” Secret Handshake told the Los Angeles Times.
The cabinets will be staying up for a few days, because Secret Handshake acquired the necessary permits for an extended display, the group told the outlet.
The group previously put up protest statues on the National Mall depicting Mr. Trump and late convicted sex offender and financier Jeffrey Epstein, according to WTOP-FM.
In the game, players play as Mr. Trump and interact with administration figures including Vice President J.D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and FBI Director Kash Patel.
The gameplay includes jokes at Mr. Trump’s expense: his dialogue is taken from real Truth Social posts, a magic move lets him heal bone spurs, he has an option to order Diet Cokes and he can eat burgers to recover in the game, according to WTOP-FM.
A sign put up near the arcade cabinets explains that the game was made because “the Trump administration knows that the best way to sell combat is by making it a video game, that’s why they’ve been pumping out the sickest Iran War video game hype reels. But why stop at clips when you could go full throttle?” according to photos Secret Handshake shared with Wired.
The sign adds that players should “strap in and play hard because this game may never end.”
