Last year, Canadian video game event organizer XP Gaming held the first-ever Video Game Live Expo (VGLX) in Mississauga, bringing together fans and developers for all kinds of gaming programming. Now, the company has announced that VGLX will return to the city this fall.
Running from October 24-25 at the International Centre, VGLX 2026 is set to be even bigger than last year’s event. In addition to once again featuring playable games, esports, vendors, and cosplay, XP Gaming has teased a slew of new programming, including:
- Behaviour Interactive activations — Canada’s largest independent developer is bringing interactive horror experiences based on Dead by Daylight, Darkest Dungeon and 7 Days to Die
- Electric Clash tournament (an official Challenger Event for the Tekken World Tour 2026 featuring international competitors from around the world)
- Toronto KOI 2026-2027 esports roster reveal from OverActive Media
VGLX is also teasing that “content creators voice actors, and other celebrities” will be at the show alongside tabletop gaming and casual play spaces.
Saturday tickets cost $20 and Sunday tickets are priced at $25, while a $35 weekend pass is also available. More information on tickets and other programming can be found on VGLX’s website.
Overall, there aren’t many consumer gaming events in Canada, so VGLX’s return is particularly notable, and already, it’s looking to be a solid expansion from last year. For more on Canadian gaming events, check out MobileSyrup‘s comprehensive round-up.
In related news, XP’s business-to-business (B2B) event, the XP Game Summit, takes place next week in Toronto. It’s also partnered with the Canadian Game Awards, which take place on May 21.
