The Duggars weathered a scandal involving their son Josh molesting several of his sisters when they were younger. TLC initially canceled the family’s reality show but rebranded it without him. The family thought they had gotten through the worst of it, but then he was arrested. Josh Duggar is in prison after child s*x abuse material (CSAM) was found on his work computer.
The family suffered another shocking blow when another son, Joseph, was accused of molesting a 9-year-old girl during a family vacation. The alleged incident happened in 2020 but he was just arrested in March. Joy-Anna Duggar admitted to one of her sisters that she was “struggling” with the situation.
Joy-Anna Duggar ‘Struggling’ With Brother’s Molestation Arrest
Josh Duggar reportedly molested four of his sisters. Jessa and Jill came forward as two of the victims. Whether victims or not, all of his siblings were affected by his actions. Now the family is again in shambles after another shocking alleged incident of molestation.
Joseph Duggar was arrested in March on charges of molesting a young girl during a family vacation in Florida. He has denied the charges, but several of his sisters, including Jill, spoke out in support of the victim.
Joy-Anna and Jinger Duggar recently discussed how their brother’s arrest has affected them. Joy-Anna joined her sister on her podcast this week. Jinger described it as a “hard season” for her family. “I think we’re all grieving in different ways,” Joy-Anna agreed. “I think every day just feels so heavy.”
“I’ve really been struggling, honestly. And I think I’ve had to lean on the Lord more than I ever have, which is a good thing. That’s a positive thing,” she added. Joy-Anna said that she tries to focus on the positives in her life to get her through these trying times.

She Says Internet Is Rubbing Arrest In Her Face
Joseph Duggar’s arrest was a shock but not a complete surprise. Joy-Anna revealed that she doesn’t talk about the arrest online very much, despite the huge public interest. She hinted that social media users are gloating about the family’s troubles.
“I feel like the more I talk about it publicly, the more it just gets, like, rubbed in our faces, and I kind of want to just move on with life in some ways. And so that’s been a hard balance,” she said.
Joseph Duggar Fighting To See His Young Children
In addition to his indictment in Florida, Joseph Duggar and his wife, Kendra, were charged in a separate incident. They were indicted on four charges of child endangerment and false imprisonment. The charges are allegedly related to their own four young children.
As a result of the molestation charge, Joseph Duggar is barred from contact with anyone under the age of 18, including his children. His lawyer was back in court earlier this month to try to amend the court order so that Joseph Duggar can see his kids for the first time in months. The judge has yet to rule on the court filings.
