– The latest cohort joins the European scheme’s expanded initiative aimed at redefining early-stage script development, which for the first time includes an on-site residential programme
This year’s Development Angels
LIM²- Less Is More is expanding its European development ecosystem this year with a renewed and significantly widened edition of its Development Angels programme, strengthening its ambition to reshape early-stage script development through collaborative, emotionally intelligent feedback practices within Less Is More.
For the first time, LIM² is opening up its format on a larger scale, combining an online and an on-site structure: 78 creative producers from across Europe will first take part in a remote workshop and master class in September. Guided by Antoine Le Bos, script consultant and founder of LIM and Le Groupe Ouest, and Vinca Wiedemann, former director of the National Film School of Denmark and story supervisor on films and series by directors such as Lars von Trier, the online sessions will introduce the core methodologies and tools that define the LIM approach to development.
Alongside this broader cohort, 12 selected Development Angels will join a residential workshop in Plounéour-Brignogan-Plages, where they will work intensively on early-stage feature-film projects. The residency will take place at Le Groupe Ouest, before participants continue on to LIM² MEET, where they will engage directly with filmmakers, industry guests and the wider European development community.
The selected professionals come from 11 countries and were chosen from among approximately 150 international applicants. Their backgrounds span production, commissioning, distribution and curatorial practice, reflecting LIM’s ongoing commitment to cross-disciplinary storytelling support and structural innovation in development.
This year’s cohort includes producers working across auteur cinema, documentary and hybrid forms, many of whom are active in international co-production networks and festival circuits. Throughout the programme, they will refine their ability to provide structured, precise and emotionally responsive feedback to filmmakers at the earliest stages of creation.
Among the selected participants, Vladimir Nadein (Austria, Dénapá Studio) specialises in a hybrid practice between production, curation and distribution, with a focus on experimental cinema and festival-driven projects. From Germany, Flora Rumpler (Razor Film) works as a creative producer on auteur-driven features and high-concept series, combining a strong dramaturgical background with European co-production experience. Spain is represented by Queralt Pons Serra (MoreThan Films), whose work bridges production, international sales and consultancy for European funding schemes. Denmark’s Christian Lønhart (Isaac Production) develops politically engaged and formally bold cinema, rooted in short-film success and an emerging feature slate.
From France, Johanna Mayer (Jour2Fête) brings over 15 years of experience across sales, acquisitions and production, with a strong editorial perspective shaped by both distribution and development roles. Poland’s Małgorzata Małysa (FURIA FILM) is an experienced producer of fiction and documentary projects, active in major European co-productions and sustainability-focused training programmes. Bulgaria’s Katya Trichkova (Contrast Films) is widely recognised for her internationally rewarded productions, collaborating with auteur filmmakers whose work has screened at Cannes, Venice and Karlovy Vary. Switzerland’s Frances McStea brings a multidisciplinary background in science communication and animation production, with a focus on perspective-driven storytelling.
From France, Laura Nikolov (Coorigines Production) produces socially rooted arthouse cinema that has been present at Cannes, IDFA and in the Academy Awards landscape. Belgium’s Nina Landau (Midnight Blue) combines documentary and fiction production with a background in journalism and media, and recently became a partner at her company. The Czech Republic is represented by Matěj Paclík (Breathless Films), a producer, director and curator of award-winning shorts and features, currently developing new international projects while also working in psychotherapeutic training. Finally, Norway’s Charlotte Røhder Tvedt joins the cohort with a long-standing career spanning documentary production, commissioning and education, and currently serves as a documentary film commissioner at the Norwegian Film Institute.
With this new selection, LIM² continues to expand its definition of development not as a technical phase, but as a collaborative, reflective and deeply human process at the heart of European cinema.
