RHOC viewers have grown tired of Shannon Beador, and they are not afraid to speak up about it. Granted, they do not think that the way Tamra Judge treats her is always fair, but Shannon can be hard to handle. Now, a former show producer is giving insight into how Shannon behaves and why she acts as she does. Keep reading for more details on her insufferable, “diva” behavior.
Shannon Beador Gained A Big Head
When Shannon Beador joined RHOC in Season 9, she was quirky. She was obsessed with crystals, naturopathy, and all things holistic. Soon, the cracks in her marriage became clear, as did her love for cocktails. Yet, she bonded with Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson quite quickly. As the years passed, Shannon got divorced, started and lost businesses, and was arrested. She was also sued for a facelift, fell in and out of love, and had struggles with her co-stars. Viewers have been mixed on her presence, but they have ultimately grown tired of her.
A former producer on the show is spilling the tea on Shannon’s behavior, how she changed, and why she is still on after all these seasons. Patrick McDonald did not hold back and alleged that Shannon does not really like filming the hit Bravo reality series. However, she loves the money, fame, and prestige too much to let it go. He discussed a diva moment while making restaurant reservations where she name-dropped, which made her sound too big for her britches:
“She’s like, ‘Hi! Hello! Yes. This is Shannon Beador from the Real Housewives of Orange — yes, I’ll hold … Hi. Yes. This is Shannon Beador from the Real Housewives of Orange County. I need to make a reservation. We’ll be there in 30 minutes for a table for two, and for the love of God, do not put us in the front table again. Everybody was gawking at us the last time. Please put us in the back so we can have a nice dinner.’”
Yes, reality stars and Bravolebs do get a special level of attention, so her demands are fair. Yet, the way that Patrick is portraying it tracks with “diva” allegations against Shannon Beador. He also noted how the mother of three would snap at the drop of a hat and assumed people worked for her:
“Just her arrogance and audacity of speaking to me that way was like, ‘You go check to see if this is gonna work or not because if it’s not gonna work, I’m not coming over there.’”
Patrick McDonald did make sure to warn those coming to work that day about Shannon, just so they could be ready.
She Will Never Leave
Despite Shannon Beador allegedly not liking RHOC or filming the show, she likely won’t leave. Per Patrick McDonald, she is addicted to the fame and the money that comes with it. Season 20 is currently airing, and it may be lackluster, but it is iconic all the same. Interestingly enough, Patrick claims that there is even more footage of Shannon being worse than what viewers have seen. The only reason it is in the vault is to ensure she won’t leave, but her exit may be welcomed by fans. After reading about her behind-the-scenes behavior, many were not surprised and wished she would leave ASAP.
