Her psychiatrist, Dr. Khristine Eroshevich, and her then-boyfriend, Howard K. Stern, were found guilty of conspiracy to obtain prescriptions fraudulently using false names. Dr. Sandeep Kapoor was acquitted of all charges and later wrote a book, Trust Me, I’m a Doctor, about the trial.

Larry Birkhead Slams Harmful Anna Nicole Smith Biopic
Larry Birkhead and Anna Nicole Smith dated for about two years, but kept their romance private. They had a child together, Dannielynn Birkhead, five months before Anna Nicole Smith’s death. A paternity battle ensued between Larry Birkhead and Howard K. Stern, with custody going to Larry Birkhead.
Larry Birkhead raised Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter mainly out of the spotlight after the intense media coverage. The father-daughter duo attends the Kentucky Derby every year in honor of where he met her mother.
Larry Birkhead is fiercely protective of Anna Nicole Smith’s legacy. He publicly spoke out against Netflix’s 2023 documentary, Anna Nicole Smith: You Don’t Know Me. He refused to participate in it and now he has broken his silence on the upcoming biopic.
Anna Nicole Smith’s ex told Entertainment Tonight in no uncertain terms that he doesn’t approve of Trust Me, I’m a Doctor. “We absolutely object to, you know, any of Anna Nicole’s, my life, my daughter’s life being used in a movie,” he told the outlet.
Larry Birkhead added, “I have yet to see someone who actually embodied the spirit and the looks and the persona of Anna Nicole.” While he wants to protect Anna Nicole Smith’s legacy, his first concern is their daughter. He told ET that the biopic is harmful and could cause Dannielynn “emotional distress.”
And he’s doing something about it. “I have filed a complaint with the California Medical Board over Dr. Kapoor’s participation in this movie. I’m just going to let the process, you know, play itself out, and see what they have to say about that,” he said.
